A bang at half to full throttle

I have an late 70's 35 HP Evinrude that when I go over half throttle it runs great then there is a bang like I hit something and then it runs great for a minute or so and then the bang again . It willl do this from half throttle to full throttle does not do this under half throttle . Could this be the prop going bad .

If it feels like you hit something, then it sounds like the clutch dog is worn and it is popping out of gear.
