It was a good engine when new, LD. Not FICHT.

In 12 years it could have been coddled or it could have been abused.

Carb'd motor. 3.0 liter, closed deck looper. Should have the 6700 rpm limiter. Should be a 20" motor. Good motor when set up right.

As some know, I sold my other boat, I`m not particularly pro one engine over another and can`t afford a new boat with an E-tech so I`m shopping for whats available. This area is not the Bass Boat capital of the world, so I have slim pickings around here. I`mm looking at this 95 Stratos 201 Pro XL

Nope, you will have to click on Bass Boats, then pre owned inventory.

I think that the asking price at least $2,000 too high though. I havn`t seen the boat personally yet, I just wanted to make sure the engine was not a problem child. I intend on making a trip up there as they have several boats I could be interested in.

Yeah, I'd agree that it's priced pretty high but what do I know........maybe they got it priced that high so they can give you a ton for a trade in???

I do know it's probably not an SST prop like they claim.

Know way i`m making a trip like that, it would cost me more thasn just paying a bit more for aboat.

I have several boats picked out, Skeeter, Ranger, Stratos, and a nice fast Cobra. I just wish I could sell my Chevelle and get this thing over with.
