82 Johnson 140 fuel pump kit

So.. I go to rebuild my fuel pump, went and got what I thought was the right kit (Sierra 393103/18-7820). When I took the pump off, the kit was close but no dice. The pump is slightly longer and the kit also has gasket my pump doesn't (looks like a wagon wheel) have. Did someone replace the pump with a different one or??? I have looked and looked and I cant find a kit that looks like what I have. Please, anyone have a suggestion?

The numbers look right that you posted, some kits are made for several appliations.
If the parts don't match up, someone might have replaced the pump and installed one from a different year/model.
You may end up just replacing the pump.
