Hey Boat People, complete newbie with first boat here. It's a 13'6" Invader with a 76 Johnson 55 hp seahorse on it. My question is this... The lever on the control box that puts it in foward or reverse is on the side of the box almost when you put it in neutral to start it. First time I started it I put it midway on the top of the box and it started up but wide open. I found neutral after playing with it some and its at the corner. Picture the box top and side as 90 degrees and the control arm at 45 degrees. So this makes revers down by the switch. Is there any adjustment to this in the box? How complicated is openning the box? Is it spring loaded or anything?
