    Default 7.5 johnson 1958 fuel/air hose size

    Hello again,
I am wondering what size of fuel/air hose is used on the above motor from the male connector to the carburetor. I would like to get a short piece of good quality hose to have on hand for replacement purposes.[intended for new ethanol based fuel] If you know the inside diameter I would appreciate hearing from you. The part numbers for the two hoses according to the parts manual are 303171 for the fuel line and 203286 for the airline. The parts book does not tell me the inside diameter of either hose or in fact if they are of the same material and same diameter.
Looking forward to hearing from folks who have "been there, done that".
    Thanks,
    Sean.

Thanks very much for the info.
I think I found the problem I was having with the motor misfiring. I was examining the fuel line next to the carb looking for cracks and the line just broke off in my hand. The rubber was rotten. The fuel line on the tank however is in very good shape.

Does the fuel/air line that I now need to replace[about 16 inches should do it] cut in two pieces, one for fuel and one for air, have to be the official OMC line or can I just find a fuel resistant piece of line to replace it? I know the inside diameter is 1/8 inch thanks to you but does the outside diameter have to be exact?[I don't know the outside diameter]. I plan on using small adjustable clamps to hold the lines to the motor and the male fuel fitting instead of the pressed on clips installed at the factory. They are a bit hard to work with.
Your thoughts on this topic would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sean.
