56 Johnson Converting from Two Line Pressure Tank System to Single Line Fuel

Im reading this artical from www.outboard-boat-motor-repair.com and was wondering if anyone has done this? Does it affect performance? Is it safe for the engine?

Thanks again. I'm waiting for all my parts. One big disadvantage of being in Alaska. Getting ready to paint though and also desided to rebuild the extra/ original powerhead.
