50 HP Sea Horse Johnson

I'm new to boating and I have a 1980 Sea Horse 50 Johnson and it won't stay up in lock position while in transport, what is the problem.

First of all Kiddo ,, You don't transport on the up-lock --- Use a Transom Saver mouned to trailer frame to hold up the Lower Unit .
Be sure that you strap down the lower unit the trailer frame to keep it from bouncing .. Also -- When you get the TransomSaver, be sure you read the instruction three (3) times ,, from beginning to finish !!
