Default 2008 Evinrude 90 HP E-TEC Trim Gauge Wiring

Need help in wiring the trim gauge on my 90 HP 2008 E-Tec. What is the color code for the wires coming from the sending unit to the gauge?

I have been told the o/b already has the sending unit factory installed on it and I just have to connect the wires under the dash to the gauge..I think the wires I need come from the throttle control. A small bundle appear to come from the tilt switch on the throttle. I do not want to cut into any wiring until I am sure of which bundle to cut into and what color wires I am looking for..

I have posted this question yesterday also and got 1 reply but when I tried to find yesterdays posting, could not. That is why I am posting again..My first time here so don't know all the ropes yet..

WOW: Everyone out there ought to be Evinrude E-TEC mechanics as they do not know the answer either???? I do not think that Evinrude mechanics are required to attend refresher school every year like Mercury mechanics are...TOOOOO BAD

look for harness with black wire= ground, purple=hot, white/brown stripe= sender, and maby blue from nav light switch for gauge light. You should not have to cut into the harness, wires should be there, unless engine and controls rigged by unskill person.
Help somebody every day, if you can.

Thanks for the information...I do believe that I recall seeing those color coded wires when I was inspecting behind the dash.. Will check today for sure... Thanks for help, really appreciate it..Now, have to contact Evinrude and see what Faria gauge will work with this engine...Local Evinrude mech. not sure of this either. Seems to me that most Faria should work if they are for OMC, Evinrude o/b. Maybe should post this question also...

2nd Reply: You were exactly right...Seperate bundle under the dash with the wires you described above, no problem now to hook up gauge.

Captain should be in charge of Evinrude E-TEC tech. division, knows more than mech. do who work on Evinrude engines every day..
