Trim switch at motor works fine, trim switch on throttle always goes down but is intermittent going up. I sprayed with wd40 and it will now go up but still a little sticky. The throttle is a side mount. My question is , how do I take the handle apart to get at the button? Once I get at it where can I get a replacement or can I clean up the connections and put it back together. I like to fish in the rocks and need the switch at the helm to work. Any advice, thoughts appreciated.
Anyone? Stupid question, get a shop manual and figure it out? Just wondering if anyone has taken one of these apart. I only see the two big phillips head screws that attach it to the boat as a way to get at it, then what? Thanks in advance.
Remove the remote from the boat. Loosen the screw at the back in center if the handle some turns and smack it with a hammer. The handle should be loose.
Remove the screw and the handle is free.
The switch has to be replaced, not 'serviceable'.
