2001 Johnson 90 hp

I'm looking at a used 1994 boat and a 2001 Johnson 90 HP is the engine that comes with it. The owner must have blown the 1994 engine and replaced it with the Johnson. Was that a "bad year" for them while the bankrupcy was going on??

Howdy, Jim.I think that the 2001 Johnnys are all carbureted. That means no Ficht to worry about.Bombardier agreed to cover the warranty on 2001 OMC engines.I think those two facts add up to it being a good engine to buy.Good luck.
