2000 hp 70 johnson outboard primer solenoid

when i turn the red lever primer solenoid to the manual position gas squirts out near red lever valve when i turn to automatic it does not is this normal operation of the primer solenoid .an answer would be deeply appreciated.also the screw on the primer solenoid should it be tight .thanks

all screws should be tight. you have a bad seal on the red lever. fix ebay

thanks tash. what should i do get a new red screw to fix the problem confused.is it dangereous running the motor with this gas leaking when the primer solenoid is in the manual position and gas is leaking from it.
