2000 225 Evinrude ficht troubles

Port engine has no spark. I am guessing it's the EMM.

Starbord engine has trouble code that says "cylinder #5 ignition primary open circuit detected"
It is an intermittent problem. Any ideas anyone?

Guessing could cost you a lot of money and still not fix the problem. It would be best fo have a knowledgeable person check things out for you.

The open circuit problem could be a coil, bad or loose wire, or even an internal EMM malfunction.

I seem to have water cooling passageways getting clogged / restricted.. Anyone know a good way to open them up?
