About LinkBacksMy rectifier/regulator went out in my 1992 200 Johnson about two months ago. I changed it and everything has been working fine. Yesterday I went out fishing and when I tried to start the boat to come home it wouldn't start. It spins over fine but would not fire. If I let the motor sit for a while and tried to restart it would pop when it first turns over but then just spin. I looked a the rectifier and the power pack and everything looks visibly ok. Any idea's on where i should start?

It must have spark for a second when it pops, but I don't think it does after that. What is the best way to test for spark? The old screw driver in the wire method?
