1998 Johnson 150 hp FICHT fuel pump Model# J150ILECR

Hi everyone, need some help, I think I have a faulty fuel pump. When I turn the key on for the pump to start pumping I only hear
power to the pump motor and nothing else, the book says it should pump for 10 seconds and then turn off. I tryied to pump fuel from the fuel tank to the fuel pump and nothing came out of the pump. I checked the fuses and they are all good. The boat has been setting for 2 years and has not been started. Before I buy a pump I want your guys input to make sure that the pump could be the problem. Any and all answers greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try reversing the power leads to the pump with some jumper leads with the key on and see if it will work.
