1998 EVINRUDE 200

I'm looking at buying a used 23' walkaround with a 1998 200 h.p. Evinrude. After doing some research, I see all sorts of negative information on these motors. Should I run away from this purchase? I like the boat but obviously I'm concerned with the engine. Any advice would be appreciated

hello if it is a FICHT motor I would run. if it is a carbed version its not a bad motor other than hard on fuel. good luck and keep posting
