google searches are guiding me here, but can't find my answer. been 25 years since i've had an outboard boat, so......regarding the above motor, is 50:1 gas to 2 cycle oil what i'm looking at?

For every six gallons of fuel you would add 16 ounces of TCW-3 out board oil.

whoops, my computer hiccupped before i clicked enter & i guess this didn't get through........how about rpm's of this engine? maximum and best level for cruising, with what i was told is a 'stock replacement' prop.

You should have included your model number in the original post. Max RPM for that outboard is most likely 5500. Does your outboard have the VRO disconnected? If it hasn't been all you need to do is add oil to the remote tank. You should look at getting the OMC service manual for it and the owners manual if it didn't come with it.

as for VRO system...........previous owner was mixing & dumping into fuel tank, so i guess.........i should take a look & see how/why it may have been disabled.
an owners manual is coming from ebay any day now.
and i thought my big block 16' donzi was a nitemare .
