I just rewired the below picture on the side of the engine. The picture is before it was redone. As you can see it was pretty corroded. I redid the wiring because the trim wire had been corroded away. And whenever I would cut the wire and touch it to give the trim power... the trim would continuously go down. It would go down without me pressing the button and even when it was all the way down you could hear it still trying to go down like the down button was stuck. After I bought a whole new busbar and redid all the connections to it, everything in the boat was working except the the trim was still continuously going down. The only way to stop it from going down is unhook the trim power wire or turn off the battery, which I have to do to not run out the battery. But after rewiring this board now a day later the boat is not starting. I took out the ignition and all the wires were connected and when I touch a screw driver to the positive and negative of the starter it sparked, which makes me think it is getting power. I know this is a lot of information and probably really scattered as I am down at the boat using my phone, but any advice on why the trim would be continously going down, and even more important advice on how I may have dissconnected something connected to the starter will be greatly appreciated. The picture below has the cover on it with the numbers. If there is a diagram out there of generally what each of these numbers are it would be awesome to have. Thanks a lot!!
