About LinkBacksHow does the oil injection work on a 1995 johnson 70 hp? I am getting ready to purchase a used boat with this motor i was wondering how reliable the oil injection is. Also how often should i change the water pump on this motor?

it is not oil injected, it is auto oil mixer, the fuel pump mixes the correct ratio of oil and gas.

Is there anything in the auto oil mixer that should be changed or maintained to make sure that the proper oil and gas mixture works properly on this model motor?
