1994 Johnson 150 fast Strike fuel/oil assembly question
I just replaced the fuel filter and pumped the bulb but noticed fuel leaking from the face of the fuel/oil pump assmbly (p.n. 435555). I'm sure this is not normal and do not know if it has any effect on the performance of the motor. I looked up the part on-line and it looks like I can only order the whole assembly. The cost is around $400. However, it is leaking at the electronic housing cover and seems that this cover could be replaced without replacing the whole assembly.
I cannot find any breakdowns of this assembly to order just this part.
Model J150GLERV
Any response will be greatly appreciated.
Re: 1994 Johnson 150 fast Strike fuel/oil assembly question
You might find the oring type part you need at some salvage yard but if the fuel out let nipple on the pump is white, replace the whole pump. They were known to lean out the oil mix and score cyl's.
