I have carefully rebuilt this powerhead. Port side needed boring and new pistons, Stbd side needed only hone and new rings. The Stbd bores were excellent.
Runs well but the Stbd side, I assume, sends an overheat warning and is quite a bit warmer than the port side. Using 35:1 oiling for break in but the plugs oil up in slow running so this presents a problem when I throttle back from 1500.
Water pump rebuilt and lots of water pumping from the telltale and vents and new therms fitted to try to cure the overheat.
Port side is comfortable to the touch Stbd side cant keep the hand on too long.
Lake temp is quite warm as is usual.
Any ideas would be welcome.
