1990 Johnson 6hp Leftover Carb Kit Part

I installed a carb kit yesterday and had this part leftover. A match was nowhere to be found inside the carb nor does the schematic show it anywhere. Any ideas?

common to find multiple parts for several carb models in the kits..that's a slow speed mixture needle retainer...doesn't look like yours has one for your carb

Hold on to it. You might buy a 15 HP one day and then you'll be able to use it. LOL. If you only have one part left that's considered success. Best of luck. Rick.
