1990 Johnson 50hp - Trim sending unit??

I have a 88 sea nymph that has a 1990 johnson 50hp VRO motor. In one of the compartments, I found a trim gauge that matches the rest of my gauges in the console. So, im guessing the original motor for the boat had a trim sender, and this johnson may not, so they removed the gauge.

My question, how do I find out if this johnson has a trim sending unit? Any color of wiring to look for? If it doesnt have it, can it be added? I would really like the gauge to be hooked back up!

Ok, Did some looking around on the motor and found the tilt sending unit. The wiring goes from the SU, to into the engine cowling. does anyone know what wires in the engine harness are for the tilt gauge? Thanks
