1990 70hp johnson problems!!

I ran the motor for 10 mins on the hose the day before I took the boat out and it ran fine. The next day I took it to the lake and it would start, but would only run for a sec(acted like it was flooding out). I tried it the next day at the house and it ran fine but then started to die out again. I noticed fuel coming out of the carbs between the carb and air box. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

If your carb is flooding I would check out your carb float and needle valve to see if they are functiong properly.

with the lower cover of you should be able to blow air through the carb inlet. With the carb upside down you should not be able to blow air through the inlet.

Thanks, I went ahead and ordered the kits and they should be here thursday. Im gonna take a look at it then.
