1990 25hp evinrude primer solinoid......?

Ok i finally got my motor running after doing severall diagnosticts to find that my rectifier assembly was bad (is now removed till I have money for part 49.99) rebuilt carb / working great.... now i have figured out how my primer solinoid works externally..lever position ect. and how to use my cold start lever and key to prime it works then. ok here it goes! got motor started and wants to cut out in runn position if i turn slightly to the side motor runs ok put back in start position wants to stall noticed that there was a small bead of gas that shows up when i push in key then while motor is running sucks it back in and push key bead of gas at lever where it goes in repeated stays running ...well missed a push and motor went to backfire and lever poped up like a turky timer now i am heree ? any thoughts ...

you can replace the top of the solenoid, there is a rebuild kit for it. if it is leaking gas, it is sucking air. http://shop2.evinrude.com/ext/index....cfd8a6471c0f7f

TY, Tashasdaddy, i found the layout of primer solinoud in the parts. overlooked several time for was in intake manifold breakdown and it is deffinatly sucking in air. thus causing my issues i think after i fix this engine will be ready to go sounds so far like a good running motor but has expected bugs from sitting for almost 1 year or more before i purchased it. I do not see a specific rebuild kit for solinoid but all the parts are available..

there is one, but i did not find part # either, it is just the complete head. look on ebay for a primer, you may be able to pick up a complete primer for less than the kit. if it sat that long, change the impeller before it gives up and you run hot. this one will work.
