This year I'm using e10 ethanol gas for the first time so I wanted to change all my fuel lines. I went to the local marine and bought all new tubing but I'm concerned with the 5/32" line they had for the carbs they said it was ethanol resistant because "thats all we sale" but I'm not sure. It looks like the same old braided rubber tubing I have already. Printed on the new tubing is the following:
NAT 5/32" PHD072002 122011 16:54
It's obvious the second half is the date of mfg, which leaves me to believe the PHD72002 is the part number, which I googled to no avail, and the NAT makes me think "natural rubber", but I might be wrong does anyone know for sure? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I have purchased line that was stamped ethanol resistant on the line itself, I have also bought fuel line that was labeled ethanol resistant on the box but not on the line itself.
Yeah I'm just not sure, but it doesnt seem like the other resistant lines I have, here's a picture. I just don't want to use it unless I'm sure it is OK for ethanol, really don't want rubber bits in my carbs
