1986 Evinrude 8 HP

Need some help finding an impeller replacement kit for my kicker. Can't seem to find one on the site. Also, when I dropped the lower unit and looked at the current impeller, it was intact but a little rough.

The other problem I have is one of the bolts broke off. What's the best way to get the rest of the bolt out? I was thinking of using a drimmel and cutting into it and then trying a screw driver.

Kicker? Sounds Like saltwater damage, you could try cutting and removing with a screw driver but it will never come out this way unless you heat the living hell out of it, I use a plumbers torch, Acetylene and Oxygen not the lil wimpy propane torch and be very careful to not melt anything. Soaking it with BP Blaster first will help. If you don't have access to a plumbers torch or similar torch you may have no choice but to drill it out and re-tap the threads.

Are you looking for a Replacement Impeller 389576 or a Complete water pump repair kit 396644 ?

Probably the repair kit since the impeller in it now did seem to be bad. Not sure what the problem is, I'm gonna look some more today since yesterday I was tired from cleaning the boat and being out on the water, so I didn't really examine it to good.

So I took a closer look at the water pump today. I think I know what happened...the impeller key is gone. Not sure if it fell out when I took it apart or what all I know is that's the only thing missing that I think it could be. Either way, I bought a water pump repair kit off ebay. SHould have it here in a few days.
