1984 Evinrude VRO wiring

Help, I own a 1984 Evinrude model #E150STLCR XP150 motor. I'm upgrading the original VRO (which has no wires connected to it) to a new JOHNSON/EVINRUDE VRO FUEL / OIL PUMP PART # 5007423 that has a (4)wire harness connected to it. Also purchased a New OMC Evinrude Johnson Cable 174710 or 0174710 that the salesman said I must get to connect the new VRO to the wiring on my motor. My problem is that I don't have a diagram to view that will show me how to connect the OMC Evinrude Johnson Cable 174710 or 0174710 electric wires to my motor wiring harness. On one end of the 174710 cable there's a connector that will plug into the VRO FUEL / OIL PUMP PART # 5007423, but no information or diagrams to show me where to connect the wires at other end of the Cable or harness #174710

This is an old thread but I thought I would start it up again.
I am doing this same project tomorrow. There are four wires, Grey, connect to grey wire position on terminal board. Black, connect to ground, and two tan wires connect to temperature sending unit. Only part that has me confused is is says to wire in series? On crossflow models temp sending unit is on starboard side and loop models it is on port. I have not looked yet maybe it is self explanatory but just posing the question on how to wire those tan wires in series?
