1982 johnson problem please help

the engine runs perfect , but after i come to a stop and try to go again the engine bogs down and stalls if i dont back off throttle , takes a few min of pumping throttle to get her going slowly , then it will snap out of it eventually , but , i have done the fuel pumps , plugs , wires,

im going to buy a new carb rebuild kit for it , and gaskets , casue i heard that the new gas eats up the older gaskets , but im not sure that will fix the problem ?

please give me some ideas on whaty could cause this , by the way it dosent do it when i throttle up out of gear, only when in gear ?

It bogs down due to the load put on it.

Will spraying pre mix into the carb throats pick it back up? Choking it? Pumping the fuel primer bulb?

Im sure a carb rebuild and bath is in your future.

its a 235 , some times when i pump the bulb harder it works , sometimes not ,

im doing the carb rebuild , any thing i need to do besides that to fix my problem, should i do i fuel pump rebuild , i did one 3 yrs ago new pumps i put on , how long are they good for ?
