1979 Evinrude 35 hasn't been run in a while

Can anyone suggest what I should do to prepare my '79 Evinrude 35 to start for the first time in a few years?

Checked it out and does indeed look like exactly what I'm looking for, though some of the procedures discussed in the article (replacing water pump, rebuilding carb, replacing fuel pump) sound intimidating. Maybe I'll call my local shop and see what they'd charge to overhaul it anyway
