    Default 1977 115hp Evinrude Lower Unit Question

    Hello I am need of advise about how to remove the lower unit on my outboard. The Model # is 115793s. I have removed all the bolts however it seems that there is a rod still holding it together. Can anyone tell me how to do this. I need to change the impeller because the motor is not pumping out any water.

    The shift rod is under the bottom carburetor. It's easier to reach if the engine is in reverse.
