1976 johnson 85hp water pump question
i have a 1976 johnson 85hp.after removing the water pump the impeller was basically ground up chunks so im rebuilding the water pump i couldnt get a new case just everything else. is there anything special i need to know before completing this task???

Yes, you need to be sure no chunks of rubber got up into the engines cooling system.

is flushing it out with a garden hose sufficient??
