    Default 1976 Evinrude 35 hp Out board Motor

    I have used this motor for several years with no problems, took it to Canada this spring and within 2 days burned out to both coils. I have purchased 2 new coils and the motor is running OK, Could there be something else that I sould have checked as to why the coils burned out?

    If they were original and cracked then they were due, eh.
    Signature- If you have fuel and spark- Have you checked compression?
