1975 Johnson 85HP fuel pump question

I've got a 1975 85HP Johnson outboard (model# 85ESL75E). The fuel pump diaphragm has a tear in it, and is not working very good. I have looked for replacement kits but everyone I talk to says they don't make them for that model. The replacement pump is lots of cash. Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative-maybe a different pump that would work just as good? Thanks for your help.

You can order one up for a '78 and it'll replace most, but not all of the pieces on that pump. You'll have to reuse a couple of the bronze pieces, but all the gaskets, diaphragms etc all match.
