    Default 1974 johnson

    i bought a 70 horse johnson there are three wires removed from the key switch the one im most concerned with is the black with yellow stripe anyone know where on the key switch that it connects thanks

    The black/yellow wire is the ignition kill wire that leads to the powerpack. It is to be connected to the raised boss type terminal of the key switch that is labeled "M"

    do u know if that wire will keep engine from getting spark not being connected

    Not being connected wioll not affect the spark. It will simply prevent the engine from being shut down via the ignition switch.
