1973 60hp johnson/evinrude

here it is! i have a 1973 evinrude 60hp i found a 1973 johnson 60hp on the web for 75buck but what i wanna know is,are these the same motors can i swap part?and if so what parts?

Welcome to Iboats!All parts except for the hood and whatever else says it's a Johnson. The only differences between the two engines at that time were the styled parts and paint.

There wasn't a 60hp Evinrude or Johnson in 1973.

i have had several 1973 s 50 hp and the parts are the same even the hood would interchange .1974 had some changes but a lot of parts will work .post modle #and we will know what year and size it is . my 1972 factory shop manul shows a 65 hp . not a 60 hp. papasage
