I took fuel pump apart on my 1973 Johnson 4 hp and in doing so one of the little springs inside shot out and I cannot find it. I can only find a repair kit back to 1981. The "exploded" diagram of the parts match what is in mine exactly. Since I only need one of the springs does anyone know if the springs from the 1981 kit will work in my 1973 fuel pump? Thanks.
