1972 johnson 20 hp water pump
Hi. I gotta change my water pump and was wondering if there is anything special I should do. I think you just drop the lower and it's right there? Right?

Pretty much it. Disconnect the shift linkage, remove the lower unit bolts, and drop it down.

Thanks. I think one of the impeller blades might have broken or something. I hope it isn't too tough to change.

As long as you don't have any frozen bolts, it's a pretty srraight forward job.
