    Default 1970 Johnson 85hp Fuel/ Carb problem ???

    Motor turns over , but acts as if its not getting gas. The bulb you pump on fuel line does not get tight anymore no matter how much i pump. I really think this has got something to do with it not starting , but what could be the cause/source ?

    The primer bulb has check valves in it, a defective valve can cause your problem, can you borrow a hose from some one and try it and see if it starts?
