1969 johnson 55hp outboard not getting gas

The motor will start and idle for a min but if you give it any gas it stalls out. I have redone all of the gas lines. Model # 55esl69a

sounds like time to look at the carbs and fuel pump, carefully inspect both for debris, the fuel pump might have leaking or cracked diaphrams, or even worn out check valves, the carbs could be dirty, and need a good cleaning, youcan obtain all these parts from your local dealerdo it yourself, pick up a service manual, probably wouldnt hurt to shoot compression and fire alsokeep us infoed and good luck
