1969 evinrude 115hp waterpump kit

I have found a few places to find waterpump kits from but I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere online.
I found my impeller is rather cheap but the whole kit is quite expensive... just trying to locate a cheaper price.

Are you certain it's a 1969? The serial number you gave suggests its an 83 if I understand how they used them. (Hope someone with more knowlege than me chimes in.)

It's definitely a '69 , mines the same. You can pretty much everything you need here at iboats, although the updated pump housing is no longer available as new stock. Check places like outboard graveyards or ebay if you really think it needs replacing.

Its definitely a 1969, I am 100% sure on that one. And as far as a pump replacement, should I just replace the impeller? or do I need to get a whole kit? I'm confused on what to do.

Have you dropped the lower unit, what shape is the housing in?
If the housing is OK, just replace the impeller.

No I have not dropped the lower unit yet, I am still putting the engine back together. but I wanted to order the parts now that way by the time the engine was done the pump would be in.

Yea, I would go ahead and pull the lower unit off and look first. You never know what other issues you could find. You might find more issues, or you might find that the impeller is all you need. Post a pic of this motor and we could more easily tell what you're working on.
