1969 55 johnson bogging in wot

I have a 1969 55 HP johnson. Ran great 1st time out.2nd time out went to full throttle and nothing.Checked comppression 121 120 121.Opened fuel filter and seen come garbage in it. cleaned out good and took carbs off and cleaned. The throttle adjudtment bushings were dry rotted. Going to replace tomorrow hopefully.Could this be the issue for it bogging?have i bite off more than i can handle with the carb adjusters?Dont know much about the adjusters or bushings.
And help would be greatly appreciated.

Update..... I have cleaned carbs and adjusting needles and replaced the fuel pump and it runs like a champ now.
