Hi, recently acquired 68 johnson 33 hp, motor has both electric/manual start. previous owner had it wired on engine stand, 'with two momentary switches for the starting/stopping 'rigged'. Started to tackle this wire by wire for a proper key ignition in our boat, ouch! does not resemble any of johnson's wiring that I could find reference to. The magneto (2)wires are cutoff at powerhead they were not wired in circuit, first guess I need to wire in solenoid, battery, vacuum cutoff switch, mag wires 1 to ignition - 1 to ground ?? I have cut existing wiring up to outside of power head. Ready to start from scratch with new ignition switch it has 2 mag, 1 solenoid, 1 batt, 1 accs. positions. Any help,wiring diagram. there is no wiring harness engine/boat redoing everything!
