honda 90hp-2001 starter problem

when the ignition key is turned on the motor SOMETIMES turns over and sometimes doesn't, You get one "Click" and nothing. I had the starter tested and it is good, as well as the solenoids. Checked the usual places-battery connections,etc. Problem seems to be worsening over past three weeks. Any suggestions? Motor is on 2001 Lund.

You said battery connections, solenoid, etc were "checked". If that means they were "looked at" rather than actually tested, they may still be the problem. How about the battery? Is it capable of holding a charge. Have it load tested.
