I have a 1995 Honda 8hp 4 stroke and appear to have water problems in the gas. Any problems with adding gas line antifreeze to the tank?

I would add water remover instead of gas line antifreeze... but gas line antifreeze will still help with the water problem.

Check the ingredients. I recall "dry gas" being basically ethanol.
Ethanol can absorb a certain amount of water, but after a point will seperate from the gas, just in case you're running E10.
Nothing is so broken that Government can't make it worse.
Gas line antifreeze is hard on carbs with diaphams. and rubber gas lines. I would use isopropyl alcohol instead. You can get it in any drug store. Get the highest percent you can find. We use it in the canadian north a lot. To prevent ice crystals in the gas. You can cut it in half with water and it will still burn on a spoon. Much like the stuff from a good still and a potato mash.
The accepted method in the industry is to dump your bad 3 gallons of gas and start over.

My answers are like Zen...It may not be the answer you want, but it is generally the answer you need.
The 3 Rules:
1) Look in your service manual first...Then ask me if it is correct.
2) Understand that your desire to repair your engine does not mean that you have the ability to do so.
3) If you are confused, take your engine into a dealer..Then let them be confused...At least, in theory, they sent someone to outboard 101.
