convert Honda BF25 (2001 4-stroke) from tiller to remote steering/power?

the ancient 25 hp outboard on my dearly beloved 1970 Boston Whaler has just gone down for the final count. After considerable research/asking around I'm leaning toward a (used) Honda BF-25 4-stroke.Is it possible/feasible to convert the tiller-steered Honda BF25 to remote operation to utilize the Whaler's convenient steering console? I know this whole exercise may seem Quixotic, but would sure welcome any tips/experience/strong opinions people could offer...

The new parts to do the conversion are a little pricey...around $650.00. But, now that the 25 has been out for awhile we are starting to see a lot more of them showing up on the junk piles. If you look around a little bit you can probably find one that would provide you with the parts you need...plus a lot more spares, for a very small price. Check eBay and your local non-Honda dealers( they would be the ones who would have more junkers) for bargain parts engines.
