4 stroke honda hood problem
I have a early model honda 4-stroke 100[9.9] I replaced the carb,runs great untill I put the cover on..What could this be???? nothing looks clogged on the bottom of the motor housing for the air to get in. two holes in the front like all motors have ...HELP

Search "exhaust leak". I have a 9.9 Johnson 4 stroke that is doing the same thing and I'm pretty sure that is the problem.

check and see if your spark plug wire is not shorting out on the hood. i had one that did the same thing, changed the wire and was good to go.
