This 10 hp Honda will not Idle. Compression is 160 both, I rebuilt the carb and adjusted the Valves. It still will not Idle. It does run at high speed. Any Info out there. Cant remember the year.

Year or serial number is going to be important so that we know if you are points or CDI.Compression tests offer nice info but need to be done at wide open throttle and ideally warmed up on this engine.A cylinder leakdown test will tell much more about this engines internal health.How far out is the pilot jet.We will also need vintage to coach you on that intial setting. Despite the fact that you rebuilt the carb before, your description sounds like a dirty or maladjusted idle circuit. I think you need to revisit the idle circuits on your carbs. Carb has to be removed, disassembled, cleaned with solvent (all non metal parts removed), blow with compressed air, and install rebuild kit. It is either running too rich or too lean at idle, probably too lean. Will it idle if you manually put some choke on?
