Trying to loosen the rod cap bolts. Unable to with current set of sockets. What does this require...some sort of star socket it seems...?

Re: Rod Cap Bolts

Snap On has been a good source. The tip has to be thin enough to fit on well and stout enough not to crack when a lot of pressure is applied. 3/8 rachet size seems to work best. Many of the less expensive brands seem to be too thick or crack open and round the head.

Would like to let everyone know that after 2 days of searching locally, I found both size
12-points in 3/8 drive at Home Depot, thin wall. The 8mm fits the snuggest of the two sizes.
Brand HUSKY, UPC 0-51655-23508-8
