I just got to know how well does this engine recharges a battery .. Is it ok or poor. please give an example .. what happened to you has the charging system ever gave problems to anyone???<br />the best and the worse . I would like to hear it..it is the 2 yellow wire stator . with the rectifier . amps rated at 15 i believe .

That is a 9 amp unregulated system that can charge in the excess of 15 volts but is still only 9 amp max.

I have a 1976 115 HP. Had it on the lake a couple of times, total about hours and the battery is still alittle above 12v. It was a new deep cycle battery this year.<br /><br />Eric

If the rectifier isn't fried the critter will usually OVERcharge the battery if anything.<br /><br />-W

just a crude uunregulated system but effective. good enough.
