I'm restoring an old tri-hull with a 50 hp Merc (4 cylinder,2 stroke, 2 carbs, fuel pump is not part of carb). I just finished rebuilding the carbs and fuel pump. When I prime the fuel, I have fuel driping out of the carb air inlets (both carbs). Any suggetions?
Thanks,
Ken
1977 Imperial Tri-Hull
1970 Mercury 500

Is it possible that you are squeezing the primer ball too hard causing the flooding condition? How does it run?
:)

Thanks Schematic,
You may be correct. I was probably a little over-zealous on the priming bulb. The engine starts and seems to run ok. I've only run it for about a minute.
Would the engine being slightly tilted cause the leakage?

Yes, it would cause that. The float would float at the wrong level, and overflow.
